I know it has been a while, but today I saved a life...
This is Sherwin (and me...hi). I put in an application to adopt Sherwin today and rescue
him. He is the biggest sweetheart and I've been trying to get him adopted and/or rescued all week after seeing him at the shelter last week, but with no luck. He was scheduled to be euthanized today and I couldn't stomach the thought. He
is an old man and has heartworms, so there's a chance my vet will tell
me he's too far gone to help, but I will give him all the love I can
regardless. The vet bills will be high, and if he is well enough to go through heartworm treatment, it is going to be a bit pricey as well. I am asking for donations through PayPal, because every little bit helps, and right now I need the help so I can try and save this beautiful creature. I am already overwhelmed and touched with the out pour of love and support I have been receiving from both friends and strangers regarding this situation. So much so that I haven't stopped crying all day. Seriously, you all rule, and I am more grateful and appreciative than I could ever even try to put into words. If anyone is able to contribute (even if it's only a dollar), my PayPal account email is playgroundlovevintage@gmail.com. Thank you, thank you, thank you <3>3>

Back in Action (ish?)
Blouse: Vintage (currently for sale in the shop)
Jeans: Forever 21
Wedges: Target
Well it's been a little while, but I'm back! And nothing says "welcome back" quite like (finally) trying to take photos of new goods for the shop, and the camera battery dying every few minutes! On top of that, as soon as I get back into the swing of things, I catch the cold my boyfriend has had for the past week. Thought I dodged that bullet, but of course not. This household is not happy, and we finally traced the sickness back to a two-year-old. He must pay!
Oh life, what's next?

Somewhere
Four films later, I think it's safe to say that, for me at least, Sofia Coppola is one of the greatest directors ever, who creates some of the most real and honest films. A raw father and daughter story and a completely minimalist film shot almost entirely at the historic Chateau Marmont. Some called this movie boring...for me, it is sincere and unreservedly satisfying. I'm just mad I waited so long to finally see it. Oh, and it goes unsaid that Elle Fanning is completely adorable as always. Except that I just said it.

Currently (and Forever) Channeling: Cher Horowitz
When Clueless came out in 1995, I was ten years old, saw it in theaters, and was instantly obsessed. My friends and I all bought knee highs and those fuzzy pens for school, and thought we were the coolest. Back then, I was completely jealous of Cher's closet, computer generated outfits, and wardrobe in its entirety. And 16 years later, uh, I kind of still am. I can watch this movie to this day and enjoy it, well, probably even more than before, because at 26 years old, the jokes just make more sense now. It's still funny, still relevant, and still totally awesome. And as of recently, I came to the conclusion that I will forever worship Cher, her clothes, and of course the movie's soundtrack. Plus, it cannot go unsaid that my overwhelming crush on my main man Paul Rudd all began here, and for that, I am eternally grateful. Oh, and Brittany Murphy, RIP girl.

Lately
Lately has consisted of, but has not been limited to: iced black tea instead of coffee...every day...thanks to this heat, new bones for Buddy, work promotion celebrations at my favorite dive bar, July 4th ensemble and celebratory necessities, dog park trips, trail hikes, seeing Taking Back Sunday/feeling 17 again, kiddie pools, playing in the park at sunset, babysitting my favorite little kiddo, meeting lofty goals on free Slurpee day (pretty much the best day ever), spa days, and the dreaded "X" that means the cable box is out and I am forced to go without my beloved DVR for a whole day aka torture, and thank goodness it's fixed now.
Not very exciting, but I like it.

Current Obsession: Stone Jewelry (Or Anything Really)
It's really all I look for while shopping lately. I have a few necklaces with stone, but feel like I still need lots more. If it's a pretty stone, I'll find some way to wear it, or put it around the house. My boyfriend will surely grow weary of the latter. I'm okay with it.
